Job Description:

Our Records and Materials Centres house records for storage, supplies, and materials for distribution.

As a trusted leader, you will carry out leadership responsibilities by providing training, coaching, and oversight to a team of Records and Materials clerks.

You can inspire and build confidence in your team while promoting operational excellence through continuous improvement.


What you will do

  • Lead and provide coaching and direction to the team and oversee training of new team members
  • Support the creation of an organizational culture which fosters innovation and collaboration, continuous improvement, and change
  • Ensure requested orders for materials in stock are fulfilled in a timely fashion and materials are received accurately and timely, and the warehouse inventory is up to date
  • Ensure print materials being shipped are handled accurately and timely
  • Establish accurate and timely servicing of files according to agreed upon service standard
  • Respond and resolve complex or escalated record servicing issues from internal business clients
  • Ensure records and materials mailroom activities are handled in appropriate fashion
  • Find opportunities for automating or streamlining processes and assist with the implementation
  • Monitor the endtoend process and ensure the timely transition between tasks in the print workflow and timely completion of printed materials
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What you will bring

  • A High School or General Education Diploma; postsecondary education is an asset
  • Experience working in a relatable field; working in a record centre is an asset
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience leading a team with direct reports
  • A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively build positive and collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and other systems; experience with SAP is an asset
  • Physical endurance to stand on hard surfaces, bend, reach, grasp, lift up to 50lbs, crouch, and walk for long periods
