Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a K-12 Online School providing fully accredited Christian education to students in BC. At HCOS, we are focused on growing in academics as we grow in relationship with Jesus.

Within the Inclusive Education division, our goal is to provide supportive and flexible Christ-centred programming for students with diverse needs learning from home.

Heritage Christian Online School has need for a part-time self-employed independent contractor to support one or more students in
Nanaimo, BC, for 10-15hrs/week as an Education Assistant for the 2023/24 school year, including one 6 hour day on Wednesdays.

Specific training for working with students with diverse abilities, such as an Education Assistant certificate (or equivalent), is required.
- have a strong background in Inclusive Education.
- have experience with ASD and executive functioning support.
- have behaviour intervention (BI) experience.
- understand the need to be flexible and adaptable.
- have a desire to learn and grow in knowledge of Inclusive Education.
- have strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to work with a broader student support team.
- be technologically proficient.
- be able to work well independently within a scaffolded environment.
- have a valid Class 5 driver's licence.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

Salary:
$26.52-$31.52 per hour
