As an Inspector, you will work in collaboration with the Building Sciences team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Preparing Building Condition Assessments
- Analysing findings of the site investigations and producing BCA/FCA reports
- Capital planning based on field reviews for various types on buildings (Provincial Government, Municipal and private property managers)
- Conducting building envelope testing and evaluations
- Knowledgeable in construction practices, terminology, construction engineering technologies, materials and methods of construction.
- Be able to review drawings, interpret drawings and complete quantity takesoffs from existing drawings
- Have a driving license and can travel comfortably to sites around Ontario
- Provide a visual evaluation/field survey of the existing condition of the various building components including cladding, roofs, fenestrations, foundation walls, structure, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, security and safety systems and landscaping.
- Prepare capital planning study based on field survey for various types of buildings
- Prepare BCA report including list of all building components with description and recommendations
- Have a sample of BCA reporting (good to have)
