We have delivered unique training programs for a variety of organizations, Indigenous Communities and on behalf of the Ministry of Labour & Immigration and Ministry of Community & Social Services and Employment and Social Development Canada.

Ballad has a strategic partnership with Cascade Projects Ltd., an Indigenous-owned and controlled company based in Calgary.

Through this strategic partnership Ballad and Cascade work collaboratively as a united team to assist Industry with Indigenous engagement, cultural awareness training, and economic inclusion advisory.

The Client Relations Coordinator position is a temporary (maternity leave coverage) in-person role located out of the Edmonton Office.

The Opportunity


The Client Relations Coordinator position is a temporary role which will play a pivotal part in providing expertise in project execution, project coordination, and business development.

As a Client Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering projects and proposals on schedule and on budget. You will work closely with Ballad's management team to support thoughtful, innovative, and sustainable business growth.

To better serve clients, travel may be required from time to time; a valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and on budget.
  • Meet client and project expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and senior management to plan for client and project expectations.
  • Manage project task allocation, work plans, and deliverables.
  • Recommend opportunities for project improvement.
Program Coordination

  • Work with the project delivery team to ensure resources and tools are in place to effectively deliver projects.
  • Ensure effective and consistent communication with external stakeholders and clients.
  • Provide regular updates and working collaboratively to identify areas of improvement.
Business Development

  • Provide recommendations regarding competitive service offerings.
  • Support and build relationships with existing clients.
  • Lead the development of consulting proposals.
Indigenous Knowledge

  • Lived or professional experience working with Indigenous Communities;
  • Understanding of Indigenous Peoples, protocols, and history, and;
  • Willingness to pursue cultural awareness education.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience


A professional with proven experience collaborating with diverse individuals and groups, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and providing practical guidance on project design, execution, and follow-up.


  • The position requires the following skills, experiences and abilities:_
  • A postsecondary degree in business, communications, Indigenous studies, or equivalent
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience leading teams to ensure successful project delivery and internal growth
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Drive, etc.)
  • Technical writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Experience delivering consulting projects with a focus on Indigenous relations, engagement, community, and economic development
  • Experience in a clientfacing role with a high level of professionalism
  • PMP certification considered an asset
  • MBA considered an asset
  • Engagement and facilitation skills considered an asset
