Qualifications:
Essential:
- Completion of postsecondary education in commerce, business, finance or accounting. An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
- Experience performing audits and preparing audit reports along with providing recommendations and solutions for improvement.
- Experience analyzing financial statements.
- Experience managing and analyzing contractual agreements and providing recommendations and solutions for improvement.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders utilizing a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and political acumen.
- Excellent research and problem solving skills, including the demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement for unique, complex and sensitive situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and TEAMS.
Desired:
- Knowledge of change management and business process improvements.
Duties:
Reporting to the Manager, Standards and Quality Compliance, the Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer is responsible for providing audit and analysis, compliance verification, quality assurance risk management, quality and compliance training and regulatory and accountability oversight to internal staff and external agreement holders related to program delivery and public funding.
The incumbent researches, compiles, and reports on financial, operational, and business transactions through audits and assessments, providing and following up on the implementation of corrective actions, recommendations, and best practices for continuous improvement, as well as provides training on Manitoba Housing's programs, policies, guidelines, and associated legal/regulatory obligations.
