About the role
We're looking for an Underwriter Assistant, Specialty Solutions, to join our growing team

We're looking for a Conversion Underwriting Assistant to join our growing Specialty Solutions team

As a Conversion Underwriting Assistant your work will have a big impact within our Specialty Solutions department.

You will deliver legendary service and play an integral role within the team by supporting Underwriters with data processing and broker relationships.

People will count on you to analyze, select, and process Specialty Solutions risks contributing to a profitable portfolio of business.

This is a hybrid 12-month full time opportunity requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office.

Available office locations for this role are:
Edmonton, Toronto, Ajax, Mississauga, London Ontario or St Johns, Halifax offices.

What you'll do here:

Input data on our policy management system and gather information using various computerbased software programs.
Process insurance policy take up sheets, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
Provide legendary service to our Underwriters with administration to policy files
Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously
Other duties and tasks as required

What you bring to the table:

Minimum of 1 year of work experience in insurance or data entry experience is required
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Strong working knowledge of excel
Prior knowledge of Huon and CLPSS a strong asset
Computer proficient with the ability to navigate through multiple systems and spreadsheets
Post secondary education is preferred
Insurance experience preferred
Legendary customer service and relationship building skills
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work and thrive in a high volume, fastpaced environment
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Team player with a positive and solutionoriented attitude
Committed to selfdevelopment
