Are you looking to work with a company that values our employee's opinions? Are you looking to make a change? Are you currently working with new and exciting machinery within Plastics, specifically Thermoforming?

We are growing again. This time, our Maintenance and Tooling department is repairing existing tooling and preparing new tooling and fixtures.

Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced THERMOFORMING start-up new environment.

Do you have experience in the following:

Repair and modify molds, jigs, dies and fixtures by welding, milling, grinding, polishing and other techniques and tools. Disassemble and reassemble as required.
Conduct preventative maintenance on molds, tools, dies, and fixtures as required.
Grind Tools for custom requirements.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other instructions.
Inspect and measure incoming tools and dies per quality specifications and calibrate tools as required.
Handle Cleaning, drilling, reaming, boring, polishing, deburring and grinding of Aluminum parts.
Maintain shop equipment to ensure they are working safely and per manufacturer's spec.
Assist with product development activities, including sample making.
Assist with tool changeover and setup on production machines
Works on special projects as directed by the management team.
Contributes to team effort by taking on added tasks as required.
Ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of all data.
Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety meetings.
Lead and maintain a safe, secure, enjoyable professional working environment.

Qualifications:

Must have Thermoforming experience; 35 years experience, manual lathe experience
Tool and die maker certification, red seal Preferred or Ontario Machinist Certificate
Strong Knowledge of different Tooling Machinery and usage, including Milling Machines, Lathes, Drilling Machines, Band saws and Grinders
Knowledge of welding and Brazing
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills
Affable, fair and firm with 5+ years of experience
