Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Whistler Fire Rescue Service.

The Whistler Fire Rescue Service is a composite Department consisting of 24 Career staff and 50-60 Paid On Call Members operating out of 3 fire halls.

The Whistler Fire Rescue Service offers you the opportunity to serve the community in an exciting and challenging environment. You will enjoy a strong sense of teamwork and community service while learning new skills.

QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION

Interested applicants are invited to attend a Question & Answer Session at Fire Hall 1 on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

You must be a fulltime resident of Whistler and legally entitled to work in Canada
You must have a valid BC driver's license and a satisfactory driver's abstract to submit at a later stage

RECRUITMENT AND QUALIFYING PROCESS

Physical testing (for those passing the psychometric testing) will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 am
Interviews for shortlisted applicants will be scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17, 18 and 19, 2024 from 3:009:00 pm
Successful applicants will be required to provide a driver's abstract and Police Information Check with the Vulnerable Sector check (PIC w VS) as a condition of the position

Recruit Training Program
