In the role of
Operations & Maintenance - Summer Student, you will work in the field completing tasks necessary for the operation of our facilities.

It's an excellent foundational work term for people who are self motivated and eager to learn about our industry.


This is a unique opportunity to learn from and interact with a full range of Enbridge professionals—from managers to Technicians, Electricians, Engineers and Mechanics.


Placement Details:


  • This is a 4month opportunity starting May 2023, located near Hardisty, AB

What you will do:


  • General maintenance around sites.
  • Assist technicians during planned work.
  • Accompany team members on routine checks and inspections
  • Facility maintenance including grass cutting, painting, etc.
  • Performs other related terminal duties such as draining water from secondary containment, fuel storage inventory, sign maintenance around terminal, vegetation control, required checks on equipment and maintains log.
  • Operate small machinery
  • Administrative tasks as required
  • Organize special events
- participate in safety meetings and presentations


Competencies you will develop:


  • Understand all aspects of Tank farm, including maintenance, testing and draining
  • Detailed safety best practices for tools/equipment
  • Understanding and appreciation for what safety means in the energy industry
  • Practical knowledge of machining/manufacturing/engineering as it relates to tools and equipment
  • Safety training including fire risk and prevention
  • High level understanding of how the energy industry works

Who you are:


  • You are currently
    enrolled in a fulltime postsecondary program and will be returning to fulltime school immediately following the work term.
  • Willing and able to perform physical work
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge's core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion).

Working Conditions:


  • Fieldbased role, located near Hardisty, AB
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.


Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge's Student Contractor Program.

If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
