Sales Agent - Vaughan, Canada - Proactive Supply Chain Group QC
Description
PURPOSE:
Generate new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships with customers who require asset-based logistics solutions.
Your role will involve promoting the company's transportation and distribution services, including the use of owned assets such as trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
You will collaborate closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure the successful execution of contracts and the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales leads, prospects, and clients in the target market.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong, longlasting relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders to understand their logistics needs better and identify opportunities for upselling or crossselling.
- Conduct effective sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the company's capabilities, competitive advantages, and unique value proposition.
- Understand the specific logistics requirements of potential clients and propose tailored assetbased solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Collaborate with the pricing team to develop competitive proposals and negotiate contracts with customers to secure profitable and sustainable business deals.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to identify potential threats or opportunities in the marketplace.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals set by the management.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates on business development activities, sales performance, and market intelligence to the sales manager and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction, resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the sales forecasting team to provide accurate and reliable sales forecasts for capacity planning and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years with track record in assetbased sales or business development within the logistics industry.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
COMPUTER:
Microsoft Office Software, Outlook, CRM systems
PERSONAL:
- Indepth knowledge of transportation modes, supply chain management, and freight forwarding.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients.
- Resultsdriven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.

- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to understand customer needs and offer appropriate solutions.
