Job Purpose


The Quality Administrator is primarily responsible for providing support to the quality team, through the direction of the Director, Quality.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Displays a commitment to Waiward's incidentfree vision, values, and culture.
  • Performs scanning onto quality drive job folders.
  • Acknowledges and has a basic understanding of the ISO9001 quality assurance system.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains the Data Based Lessons Learned Program, with Waiward Team input.
  • Manages and maintains the Non-Conformance Program.
  • Assists the Director, Quality in developing Weekly, Semi-Annual, and Annual dashboarding KPI Spreadsheets, for the information received shop and site inspectors.
  • Attends all Quality meetings and documents the minutes for future review and documentation.
  • Has a good understanding of material traceability.
  • Has the ability to utilize Steelworks to assist with job duties.
  • Works with Quality Turnover Coordinator(s) to meet customer quality documentation requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or relevant experience and/or training.
  • Positive attitude, resourceful, motivated, and willing to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
  • Experience in the Metal Trades is Preferred.
  • Experience with the knowledge of CSA standards W47.1, W59, S16, W178.1, W178.2 is preferred.
  • Is proficient with typing and reporting minutes of meetings.
  • Experience with the Steelworks program is preferred.
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Forms, Word, Excell, PowerPoint and PowerAutomate.

Working Conditions
The incumbent is required to work in an office environment with moderate noise.

The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs; be outside in inclement weather (slippery surfaces and cold); carrying objects, driving, and being exposed to normal office routines.


Physical Requirements


The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading.

The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
