Description
We are seeking a Type M Certified low voltage cable installer for piece work. We have 80+ Cat5e and Cat6 cables to be run between January 10th and Feb 15th. This will involve some out of town travel in Manitoba and NW Ontario. Meal and hotel expenses are covered.


Note:
that this just jobs confirmed to mid Feb, will be more as we receive confirmations from our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide neat, accurate installation of Data Cable
  • Installations done to electrical building code
- *Able to pull a Permit* when required

  • Follow installation maps provided
  • Able to test continuity
  • Good knowledge of low voltage wiring and troubleshooting
  • Able to install conduit

This position requires:

Valid Drivers License and Good Driving Record

Type M Certification

Ability to climb a ladder

Competent with hand and power tools and lift up to 20 Kg

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details.

Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.

Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional manner

Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs

Positive attitude, integrity


Nice to have:

Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields

Background in IT is beneficial

  • On occasion we have projects out of town that would require one or more night stays. We provide accommodations and meals for this. This would be a requirement of this position.
  • On very rare occasions we will need to schedule work on weekends, is this acceptable.
