These Instructors can lead a variety of programs; this location is currently seeking instructors for Pilates, Spin/Cycling, General Group and Seniors' Fitness, Bootcamp/Circuit and Strength/Conditioning programs._ _The instructor must plan and teach recreational programs to participants of all ages. (Please note that Aquatic and Skating positions are in separate postings.)

This posting will be used to create an Eligibility List.

Current and upcoming vacancies that are not filled internally will be filled from this Eligibility List, which will be effective for three months and may be extended as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for developing a specific program plan;
Responsible for greeting participants, leading activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants, organizing equipment and supplies, preparing for activities;

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working or volunteering with the public in a recreational setting (if applicable);
Applicable fitness certification in group fitness/personal training (i

e:
Nova Scotia Fitness Association, Can-Fit-Pro, NASM) and/or certified in area of specialty (i.e Pilates) is an asset

Applicants must have current certification in Emergency First Aid and Level C CPR
Applicants must complete screening through a Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry if applicable
Applicants must be willing to obtain HIGH FIVE training and WHMIS training if applicable.

Security Clearance Requirements:
Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check.

WORK STATUS:
Casual/Seasonal -November 2023 to April 2024

HOURS OF WORK:
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.

SALARY:
Non-Union casual wage, dependent on specific program.

WORK LOCATION:
Sackville Sports Stadium (409 Glendale Drive, Lower Sackville)
