Warehouse Agent, Full-Time & Part-Time (Edmonton)

Our Edmonton location is seeking experienced Warehouse Agents to support our diverse operations.

Description:


The Warehouse agent facilitates the movement of air cargo on behalf of airlines and their customers in our Edmonton Air Cargo Operations, a complex regulatory environment.

The Agent will interface with Drivers, Customers, Airlines, Ramp Handlers and should always provide excellent customer service.


Responsibilities:


  • Understand Edmonton cargo operations critical control points procedures including temperature and timesensitive Pharma controls.
  • Identify and action transportation documentation and labels.
  • Cargo acceptance includes document verification, physical cargo checks, completion of the cargo acceptance form and system entry.
  • Cargo screening verification and execution.
  • Record time stamps when a Pharma shipment is moved in or out of the temperaturecontrolled room.
  • Cargo storage includes proper placement in the applicable and segregated storage area and not storing cargo on the ground.
  • Cargo builds up includes equipment checks, temperature control priorities, documentation completion and good cargo building practices.
  • Handover built up cargo, special handling instructions and relevant documentation to the ramp handler for outbound loads.
  • Receive cargo from ramp handler including cargo physical checks, documentation verification, storage location tracking and system entry.
  • Cargo loading and release including physical cargo check against documentation, equipment checks and compliance signatures.
  • Dispose of waste in facility in applicable waste bin: general waste, recyclable, wood and international waste.
  • An onhand stock reconciliation must be completed at least once a day to validate cargo is in respective segregated areas and no cargo has been left behind.
  • Comply with Good Distribution Practices and BBE's CEIV Pharma standards.
  • Handle active temperaturecontrolled containers.
  • Adhere to quarantine procedures including storage, documentation, notification and labelling.
  • Report irregular operations and customer complaints to Supervisor and enter occurrence in DATS unless agreed to by another party.
  • Perform on the job training for GDP standards by completing a CEIV inspection.
  • Report any incidents to Supervisor related to poor conditions of pest control, infrastructure, equipment, vehicles, equipment, cargo or supplies.
  • Familiar with the content within the Facility Operations Manual to assist with daily work
  • Daily inspections of equipment prior to use.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service.
  • Comply with and participate in the Company's Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Work with a tone and energy that conveys positivity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Air cargo, airport operations or general aviation experience.
  • Experience in Industry Regulatory Requirements including Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Air), Transport Canada Air Cargo Security Program.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance
  • Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
