We have immediate openings for
Classroom Instructors who have experience teaching international students within our
Business Diploma (Marketing Specialization) (BDMS) Program in Surrey, BC

Employment Type: Part-time/Contract
Schedule:
The incumbent can choose to teach one or all of the below programs during the following times slots:
- August 2
- September 27, 2023: Monday
- Wednesday from 8am-12pm (5 weeks)
- October
- November 1, 2023: Monday
- Wednesday from 8am12pm (5 weeks)
- November 20
- March 6, 2024: Mondays from 1pm5pm (15 weeks)
- January
- January
- Wednesday from 8am-12pm (5 weeks)
Courses Could Include the Following:
- Cultural Diversity & Understanding (INT100)
- Writing with Purpose (COM200)
- Creativity & Self-Expression (COM110)
- Interpersonal Skills Development (INT200)
- Speaking with Purpose (COM300)
- Canadian Business Culture (BUS100)
- Workplace Readiness (COM100)
What You Will Do:
- You will ensure students receive the knowledge, information and resources to succeed by maintaining a quality, learnercentered approach to postsecondary education.
There is a full curriculum for each course and a thorough orientation would take place prior to you stepping into the classroom.
Who You Are:
- Outgoing and able to deliver engaging lessons using the existing curriculum
- You have excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Familiar with Moodle and Collaborate or other learning and communication systems is a bonus
- A seasoned business professional. You've worked in the marketing, sales, advertising, PR, or related industries and you're looking to pass on your knowledge to the next generation.
- A Diploma or Degree from an accredited university or college
- 3+ years of teaching experience
- Experience teaching international students is a bonus.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need:
- To be a current and recognized TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification (preferred), and/or successful completion of a recognized TESL training program, would be a huge bonus
- Demonstrated background in and comfort with a broad range of postsecondary course work
- A minimum of three years' related work experience (tutoring or teaching ESL to postsecondary students).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Able to work independently and efficiently under minimum supervision to provide students with timely academic support
- Experience working with Office 365 tools such as MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as other internet tools effectively for production, research, and resource as the administrative and tutoring aspects of the job demand

Part-time
Part-time hours: 60 per week
Salary:
$35.00-$40.00 per hour

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
