QM's four business lines include Demolition and Decommissioning, Hazardous Materials Abatement, Environmental Remediation including Civil Earthworks, and Emergency Management & Environmental Response Services.
We have an exciting IMMEDIATE permanent opportunity to join our Finance team It is an exciting, challenging role for someone who has just completed their CPA
***As a Finance Manager at QM LP, you will be responsible for month-end duties such as communicating with project managers to determine revenue recognition, completeness of cost accruals, overseeing the payroll team, co-ordinating with the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams, and managing the cash flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating with operations to ensure that revenue is being recognized appropriately in accordance to GAAP;
- Ensuring that operations has performed the appropriate cost accruals on a monthly basis;
- Oversight over the payroll team to ensure that payroll accruals are being performed accurately and payroll is being processed in a timely and effective manner;
- Management of various monthend activities;
- Work closely with Controller to design best practices in new ERP software;
- Supervision of accounts receivable collections as well as accounts payable to ensure proper cash flow administration; and
- Other special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
Education/ Experience:
- CPA
- University Degree
- Minimum three years experience in public accounting and/or industry
Requirements & Abilities:
- Able to work 5 days in the office.
- Fluent in English.
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
