Dining Room Manager / Aspira Hunter Village Retirement Living**
This is a Permanent Full-Time position. Weekend availability is required.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Support and monitor the efficacy of all food and beverage activities within the residence and The Village Bistro restaurant to align with Aspira standards and expectations for hospitalitystyle dining services
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of management related to dining room and restaurant servers, including recruitment, orientation, supervision and performance evaluation, aimed at maintaining high productivity levels
  • Conduct training and education sessions on hospitalitystyle dining service to ensure that team members are proficient in providing excellent service to residents
  • Assist with meal service by performing server duties as needed
  • Report supply and procurement requirements to the General Manager
  • Manage staffing levels for dining room and The Village Bistro restaurant within the allocated budget
  • Assist in planning and organizing external marketing events

Who You Are:


  • Graduated from high school and completed coursework in hospitality service management, guest relations, service excellence, or a related field

Brings two years of experience in fine dining, catering service or hospitality within hotels and restaurants:

  • Has a valid Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve certificate
  • You have strong people skills that can guide, motivate and supervise a diverse team while also being able to delegate tasks effectively
  • Can demonstrate patient, understanding, and able to connect with both residents and their families
  • You are able to think quickly, adapt to changing situations, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Possess effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, manage budgets and ensure the smooth operation of the department

What you need to know:

  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
