Working Arrangement

The National Life, Disability & Wellness Team is looking for a self-motivated Bilingual CPP/QPP Analyst, who thrives on delivering value, is customer-obsessed, and excited to work with a small yet dynamic team.

They will have good understanding of Canada Pension Plan / Quebec Pension Plan and its impact on disability benefits as well as strong mathematical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Calculate and code the CPP/QPP offset and adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator upon receipt of CPP/QPP disability or retirement benefit approval.
Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations.
Followup with Plan Member and/or Service Canada/ Retraite Quebec for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary.
Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator
Determine if utilization of the services of an external CPP Advocate is warranted.

We are looking for someone with:

Bilingual in
French/English is required as 80% of the work is in French
Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages
Strong math skills
Very comfortable with Office 365; most notably Excel and Word
Experience with Navigator is an asset
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong negotiation skills
A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure
Open to change and continuous improvement

Nice to Haves:

Experience in disability benefit calculations is helpful
Knowledge of Canada Pension Plan and Quebec Pension plan legislation preferred

On the job you will:

Collaborate with the CPP Senior Disability Administrator and Case Management teams to strengthen financial results.
Work closely with other colleagues to prioritize work especially during peak times (end of year)
Establish good working relationships with Service Canada and Retraite Québec agents to facilitate our work
