About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Health Service Manager and working in collaboration with the Assistant Manager and Team Leads, this position provides support in scheduling, staffing, and payroll for assigned units.

Creates and maintains schedules, manages daily flow sheets, payroll requests, and updates/corrects as required. Maintains unit staffing consoles.

Liaises with Charge Nurse, Health Service Manager, Unit Clerks and the immediate needs office to problem solve and support staffing levels.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:c

  • Grade 12 plus one year postsecondary business, secretarial, or office management diploma and one year secretarial or general clerical experience (OR Grade 12 plus two years secretarial or general clerical experience)
  • Experience in a healthrelated field preferred
  • Experience with multi discipline staff scheduling and scheduling software
  • Demonstrated selfstarter and problem solver
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • 40 WPM keyboarding
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of wordprocessing and spread sheet capabilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word) via Skills Testing
  • Must be knowledgeable about collective agreements and human resource policies
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to relate well with all levels of staff
  • Experience with Time Capture an asset
  • Experience with Kronos an asset
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing demands
  • Ability to effectively manage a timesensitive workload
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
A skills test may be included as part of the selection process

  • Permanent Fulltime position; 70 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $27.53 Hourly
