Role:
As 3D Modeling Manager for Roads and Highways, you will actively work in a team environment on the development and implementation of advanced 3D workflows and standards and BIM processes that will be used on a variety of transportation, municipal, provincial and structures infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the roads and highways 3D design, modelling, and production.
- Developing 3D design workflows and standards.
- Conduct 3D Modeling and Civil 3D training to the team.
- Develop API tools and subassemblies to automate modeling process.
- Participate in the development of CAD/BIM modelling standards.
- BIM process implementation and coordination with the various specialties to resolve clashes.
- Modeling of roads and highway projects with various complexity including multilevel interchanges.
- Work closely with engineers and design leads on assigned projects.
- Performs thorough quality control (QA/QC) of models and sheet files for standards compliance, discipline coordination and ensure comments have been addressed by the responsible CAD Technician and others as required.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of related experience.
Hands on experience in highway modeling, 3D design, corridor modelling, model specifications, BIM coordination and clash analysis, complex interchange modeling, and API development.
Possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
