May 2017 to Present: 

Project Controls Lead, Bruce Power, Major Component Replacement (MCR) - Fuel Channels Feeder Replacement (FCFR) and Construction Waste Services Programs. 

  • Lead and manage a team of planners and cost analysts, assign the priorities, and ensure that the work is according to Bruce Power’s processes and procedures. 
  • Oversight of the developments of project plans and schedules, review vendor schedules and plans, prepare the Basis of Schedule participate in the weekly and monthly schedule review meetings.
  • Implement Project Cost Control processes, prepare and review the Earned Value reports, provided technical support in performing cost analysis and advise project team members on cost over-runs, trends opportunities conflicts and risks in a timely manner to facilitate prompt corrective action;
  • Identify, analyze, plan, track, evaluate and control project risks on a continuous basis throughout the project life cycle. 
  • Participate in estimate reviews with the project team, recommend required changes and ensure scope is correctly documented and maintained through the change management processes, and the oversight of the development and maintenance of estimating documentation and plans.
  • Prepare Project Change Management Requests including the technical and cost backup before presenting for approval.  Oversight of the Change Management process to ensure compliance with the client’s policies, plans and procedures.

Project Management Oversight Consultant – Bruce Power

  • As part of the Bruce Power Independent Program Oversight Office I provided independent oversight of Bruce Power’s project and risk management capabilities and support the organization in their capital projects and processes. It includes performing continuous audits of key projects to establish a performance baseline for all aspects critical to project success including estimates and risk. The audit services provided were Independent Oversight, Investment Proposal reviews, Monthly Project Reviews, Risk Management Reviews and Estimating Reviews. 

 

June 2012 – April 2015 

Senior Project Manager – Bombardier Aerospace – C-Series (A220) Aircraft Development Program 

  • Management of the suppliers of the Hydraulic, High Lift, Electrical, Lighting, Secondary Avionics, and Wiper Systems.   
  • Manage the deliverables for ARP 4754, Software Certification, Reliability, Maintainability, Aircraft and System Safety that are required for aircraft certification.
  • Developed and maintained master and detailed schedules and track of project budgets and costs.  
  • Chaired weekly Integrated Program Development Team (IPDT), project reviews, risk management meetings, and supplier meetings
  • Managed and coordinate between suppliers and Bombardier to ensure the work is on schedule and within budget. 

 

October 2011 – May 2012

Program Manager (B777 and B787 Programs) – Air Canada 

  • Responsibilities included the coordination with Boeing for the project management activities of the design, engineering, and completion of the seats, monuments and cabins for the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 fleet.

Manager Technical Risk Oversight – Bombardier Aerospace 

  • Led and coached the team of Engineering Risk Specialists that works with Engineering, business units, and suppliers to identify, evaluate and prioritize risks or associated opportunities and develop risk mitigation plans.

Contract Assignments – A.H.I. Project Management Inc. 

  • Provided consulting and training services to companies in the AS9100 Quality Management System.  
  • Program and Risk Management training and consulting services to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and Xian Aircraft Industrial Corporation (XAC). 
  • Managed the design, certification, manufacturing and installation of Sound and Thermal Insulation STCs for VIP aircraft including Bombardier, Hawker, Falcon Jet and Gulfstream.  
  • Project Management services for the interior completions of VIP business aircraft until final delivery.  Developed new partnerships for the marketing and sales of aircraft interiors program management, the sound reduction kit, and opened new markets in the Middle East for our products and services. 

 

 

 

February 2005 – May 2006

Senior Site Manager – CDI Aerospace 

  • Managed an organization of 90 designers and engineering professionals on the Airbus A380 Program, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Bombardier, and Heroux-Devtek.  
  • Managed the growth of the site from 60 to 90 employees, reduced overhead by 7.6%, increased revenue by 47%, and profits by 148%. 
  • Led and achieved the AS9100 registration process and obtained over $1 Million in tax credit for the research and development activities.

 

July 2003 – February 2005

Contract Assignments – A.H.I. Project Management Inc.  

  • SAP Senior Business Analyst – Bombardier Aerospace: Reviewed and created new processes for the implementation of the Warranty Module of the SAP application for the Parts Logistics Project.  
  • Proposal Consultant – Bombardier Aerospace - Military Aviation Training: Prepared the Program Management plans for the proposal, was recognized as the primary point of contact for proposal activities.

 

December July 1997 – June 2003

Director – Customer Support Program Office – Bombardier Aerospace, Business Aircraft

  • Global Express Entry into Service Program: Structured, organized and implemented the Global Express entry-into-service and modification program.  
  • Global Express Warranty and Maintenance Centre: Led and managed a multidisciplinary aircraft maintenance team for the maintenance of the Global Express aircraft. 
  • Process Improvement:  Utilizing the Six Sigma methodology I increased number of major projects handled from one sustaining program to three sustaining programs, three development programs, and one special project while maintaining same level of staffing.  

 

December 1991– June 1997

Bombardier Aerospace Defense Systems Division

  • Supervisor Planning and Scheduling - Responsible for all the scheduling activities within the division including aircraft maintenance, parts manufacturing and engineering.
  • Project Manager - Completed CF-5 aircraft full scale test on budget and schedule.
