I am a unique librarian with a passion for meeting information needs of all categories of information users. Highly resourceful with excellent multi tasking skills. I have the requisite skills needed in providing information services in various fields of knowledge. I have over 10 years of in-depth experience in the field of librarianship, information studies, and information science. 

Projects that involve the processing, managing, provision, storage, and disposal of information resources to meet user needs in making decisions or meeting goals.

Projects that involve all the activities in any kind of libraries( academic, public,school, special, private) and information centers organizations that require the managing of print and non-print resources, records and information resources.

I have provided excellent library services to support teaching and research requirements of several faculties in the University.

I have developed and provided support to students and staff in filling knowledge gaps in the use of information resources for research and personal development.

I have facilitated the storing, categorizing and maintaining information resources databases, identified and procured information valuable for staff and students of the learning organization.

I have experience in the use of Library and information resources management tools/software used for electronic cataloguing and classification of print and non-print resource materials using  (LIBERTY 3, SAHARA)

Processed loans, returns, renewals of library materials and resources.

Assisted in the provision of information on collection development, library policies, procedures and location of library resources.

Participated in staff training and training of new staff and students in the use of library resources. 

Provided reference services using OPAC (Open Access Catalogue) including search aids using KWIC/KWOC. 

Aided library users by performing simple title, author, subject and keyword searches.

Processed inter-library loan requests and fixing of barcodes and security strips in library materials.

Maintained library user records on the electronic library database (ALICE)

Performed duties in the binding section of the library including lifting of heavy materials.

I have a Masters Degree in Information Science and a Bachelor's degree in Library, Archival and Information Studies. I have had several in-house trainings, workshops, seminars in the processing, managing, provision, storage of information resources in libraries and information resource centers.
