Hello! I'm Afsar Ahmed, a tech enthusiast with over a decade of experience in leading software engineering projects. I blend my diverse skills in languages, libraries, frameworks, tools, databases, and platforms to build clean, fast, and secure applications that serve enterprise standards.

Throughout my 12 years of progressive experience in various roles, I've fostered a striking balance being an effective team player and an individual contributor. My passion lies in decoding problem statements and simplifying complex systems. I've got a knack for streamlining initial loading time, migrating codebases, performing QA, and orchestrating CI/CD and post-production activities.

As a Software Engineering Lead at Optum Global Solutions, I helmed important UI projects and did my part in transforming an initial loading time from 18s to a zippy 5s. During my tenure at Tekzenit Software Technologies, I led a dynamic team of 8 people, developing cutting-edge frontend applications. I explored existing systems, addressed areas of complexity, and mitigated potential risks. I upheld clean coding practices and maintained a sharp focus on the front-end process, from UI layout to API integration, at every step of my tech journey.

 

A Bachelor of Technology graduate in Computer Science Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, my academic and professional journey has been exciting and educational. Currently pursuing MBA.
