WHAT I HAVE

• I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Montréal, Canada. I majored in political science, minoring in philosophy, with a second minor in Middle East studies. 
• I have writing and editing experience from working in various campus publications including a summer internship at the Beirut-based newspaper, The Daily Star.
• I speak four languages fluently: Arabic, French, English, and Turkish.

WHAT I CAN DO 

1. Critical reasoning and logic, and the ability to discern patterns and create predictive models of analysis. 
2. Investigate, digest, and summarize abstract notions and dilemmas in view of a solution (or even just as a mental exercise). 
3. Grasp complex arguments and transmit them in plain and simple language.
4. Effective and relaxed public speaking, before diverse audiences and the scrutinizing gaze of one's peers and superiors, coworkers and clients.
5. Research skills based on intensive time commitment to: 
   • Finding, reading, annotating, abridging, and citing peer-reviewed academic articles. 
   • Digging around physical and electronic archives, libraries, academic databases, historical artefacts, encyclopedias, and specialized software.
   • Writing essays and academic papers, literature reviews, simple as well as annotated footnotes and bibliographies, using proper citations and style.  

I have faith in my skills and look forward to their being improved in a non-academic setting.
