I’m Alexx, a registered nurse with a solid track record in leading teams and managing complex situations in healthcare settings. Over the years, I've taken on various informal leadership roles, where I’ve not only advocated for patients but also coordinated staff and developed operational strategies. These experiences have sparked my interest in business administration, particularly in human resources and marketing.

I’m currently diving into a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Leadership, which is giving me fresh perspectives and tools to tackle the business side of things. I’m excited about transitioning into the business world where I can leverage my healthcare background to bring a unique, empathetic approach to HR and marketing. My goal is to blend my hands-on leadership experience with my growing expertise in business to drive impactful strategies and foster dynamic, people-focused environments.

I am a registered nurse with extensive experience across various healthcare settings, including integrated home care, transition services, and emergency departments. My career has been marked by my proficiency in patient advocacy, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

In my current role as an Assistant Head Nurse in Palliative Home Care, I lead staff, manage daily operations, and advocate for both patients and nursing staff. I am responsible for developing and implementing policies, overseeing quality care, and fostering a collaborative environment among interprofessional teams.

Previously, as a Float Registered Nurse in Integrated Home Care, I developed and executed care plans, managed patient cases, and led efforts to ensure evidence-based, patient-centered care. My experience in Transition Services involved managing high caseloads, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and effectively communicating client needs to physicians.

My background also includes roles in emergency departments and psychiatric units, where I demonstrated strong leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to handle complex, high-pressure situations.

Overall, my experience has equipped me with exceptional leadership skills, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and a deep commitment to quality patient care. I am now pursuing an MBA in Human Resources Leadership to transition into business administration, focusing on human resources and marketing.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Leadership from the University of Fredericton. This program is enhancing my knowledge in HR principles and business strategies, preparing me for a leadership role in human resources and business administration.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Red Deer College/University of Alberta. This degree provided me with a strong foundation in nursing practice and healthcare management, equipping me with the skills necessary for patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective leadership in clinical settings.
