Amanda Bonnar

Have worked in the OR setting from 2018 until 2021 at the trauma centre, in various department. I then worked in PACU for 9 months; until I began work at the Sussex Health Centre (SHC). I float from Day Surgery, OR (scrub and circulate) and as a PACU nurse. We support physicians by providing clinical services such as gastroscopy and colonoscopies. I am applying for this position as I am considering relocating and am looking for an area which my daughter and I can contribute our skills to building a sense of community. she graduates this year with her Ed degree. 

Worked odd jobs both casual and part time for many years; so I could focus on raising my daughter. I obtained My Nursing degree as a mature student. Upon graduation, as a registered nurse, I worked bedside for 8 months then joined Addictions and Mental Health Services for 18 months. Until I decided to expand my nursing skills and began working in the operating department. 

The past year and half, I worked within PACU and learned the responsibilities of Day surgery nurses. Current BLS.
