Anjali Krishna

I am currently in my final semester at the university completing my Bachelor in General Sciences. I am a pre-dental student and alongside my education, I am the owner of a dance studio. I am a dance and biology enthusiast and I love being a strong leader especially in the STEM field!

City of Edmonton - Recreation Technician I (2022-PRESENT)

- My role as a recreation technician was to lead the Greenshack program in two locations in the city where I would create activity plans for children who visit the program and lead them through these activities

- Was required to work with children from different cultural, socioeconomic, and physical health backgrounds and create an inclusive and comforting environment for them all

- Involved in implementing Indigenous activities and talks once a week to encourage awareness of the rich Canadian history and increase appreciation for our land and how to respect it and its ancestors 

Krishna Dance Studio – Director (2017-PRESENT) 

- As the owner and head choreographer, am involved in interacting with children ages 3-13 and teaching them dance routines 

- Experience with handling finances from multiple clients (parents) and budgeting appropriately for expenses (costume and studio rentals) 

- Dealing with sudden circumstances involving children in a fast yet efficient way and experience in handling injuries among toddlers to teenagers 

Pregnancy and Postpartum Health Laboratory – (Research Volunteer 2019-2020)

- Am involved in extracting and analyzing data from articles about the effects of certain factors on an individual’s MSNA readings 

- Have gained experience in working in a research environment and collecting qualitative and quantitative data via online systems 

- Experiences in specifically meta-analysis, writing PICO’s, and extracting data from figures using WebPlotDigitizer 

Dynamite – Sales Associate (JULY 2019-DECEMBER 2019)

- Implemented up-selling strategies, encompassing recommendation of accessories and complementary purchases - Worked alongside retail representatives to boost sales by enhancing product presentations and advertising collateral 

- Analyzed and properly processed product returns, assisting customers with finding alternative merchandise to meet needs - Engaged with customers to effectively build rapport and lasting relationships 

- Received one of the top employee awards for the month of October with a 144% sales efficiency
