Anu Varghese

         I am Anu Varghese, graduated in Chemical Engineering. During my four years of academic degree, I had a wide exposure to key subjects like Fluid Mechanics, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Chemical Process Plant Safety, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Equipment Design, Process Instrumentation Dynamics and Control, Process Economics etc.

       Presently I am pursuing Engineering Business and Safety Management course at Confederation College, during my first year, I gained the knowledge in the engineering, industrial and construction sectors accident causation, prevention and proactive health and safety maintenance techniques.  This program taught me concepts of Occupational Health and Safety, Organizational Behavior, Health & Safety Management & Inspection, Data Management and Quality Control, Applied Operations Management, Employee Recruitment & Selection. 

        I have 9 months experience as a graduate apprentice trainee in Central Materials and Process Laboratory, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. My duties included: 

• Took part in many safety drills conducted by the HAL fire and safety department. 
• Testing organic and inorganic materials of helicopters and aircrafts.
• Handling testing of different types of rubbers for their specification requirements.
•  Life extension of samples
• Testing miscellaneous samples, bonding materials, and surface finishing products
• Acquired knowledge of Universal Tensile Stress Testing Machine
•  Having good exposure of handling instruments like ONH Analyzer, Carbon Sulfur Determinator etc.
•  Making record of inventories for testing, assisting in laboratory practices
• Reporting results to Organic and Inorganic departmental Scientific Officers in central lab.
