Barbara Marinho Muniz

I graduated with both a New Brunswick and Brazilian High School Diploma. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Birks Medal of Leadership. The Birks Medal in Student Leadership is awarded annually to a Grade 12 New Brunswick Student who has demonstrated leadership in student government and, in so doing, has had an impact on improving the quality of student experience. 

I work well as a team player or independently.  I have volunteer experience as a high school teaching assistant and library assistant. This past year at UNB, I was in the computer science association and planned several activities for other students. I also participated in a university book club, “Women in Computer Science”. 

I can fluently speak English and Portuguese, and I have studied French for six years. I can read French documentation and have introductory speaking and writing abilities in French.
