My name is Rebecca Browne, currently I am living in Calgary Alberta, but am looking to relocate to Red Deer as soon as possible! I am beyond passionate about helping others and would love to find a career opportunity in Red Deer, Alberta that allows me to utilize my special skills in support work. My father suffered from a terminal illness, extreme schizophrenia and struggled with opioid addiction. I was his primary caretaker. I assisted in bathing him, feeding him, taking him to doctors’ appointments, and dispensing medications. Giving him the best quality of life possible inspired my passion for care taking. I found an opportunity to work as a Community Support Worker a few years ago and fell in love with the career. Since 2019, I have worked at two agencies. I have worked with a large variety of clients. I excel at working with clients who have severe behavioural concerns. I am extremely patient, kind, respectful and passionate about helping. Currently, I am completing my Mental Health & Addictions Diploma, through ABM College. I am graduating in December of 2023. My classes are done during the days, so ideally overnight shifts would be preferred, although I do have flexibility due to online classes.
