Bettine Roynon

I started my design career in Fashion Design, then Costume Design and eventually Interior Design.    The Design world has allowed me to travel all over the world exploring different cultures, styles and tastes.    

Since 2016 I worked at Lischkoff Build as -initially 1 of only 2 Designers - but eventually as Senior Designer leading a team of people through whole home design projects.    It was a great opportunity to practice some architectural design and I discovered that I build from the inside out taking my lead from how the client will use the space and how it will sit on the land gracefully and in keeping with its geographical location.

Managing the many moving parts of the interior design process is where my heart lies and Im currently looking for a role where I can once again work in a team environment helping to realize the dreams of our clients.

I do enjoy a balance of client facing work, and quiet drawing conceptual work.

I use AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, some Adobe and all the Microsoft / google / apple business software.    So I am comfortable on a computer and can quickly pick up new skills.

I truly believe my most relevant eduction is in the field.   The world of Design does not respond well to formulaic answers and you need being able to adapt to and problem solve a situation is where the real creativity happens.

That said I did study design at Ryerson University, Costume Design at Dalhousie and BCIN training plus autoCAD at George Brown.
