About Bijaya Pokharel:

Bijaya is a nonprofit executive with over 20 years of leadership advancing youth empowerment, equity, and reconciliation across Canada and internationally. He bridges vision with measurable impact—mobilizing resources, building cross-sector partnerships, and driving systemic change. He is Executive Director of Youth in Action.

He has led reforms that expand youth opportunity, strengthen governance, advance environmental stewardship, and embed Indigenous voices in decision-making—actively supporting the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action. Globally, Bijaya has represented youth at the United Nations, addressing ministerial delegates and amplifying voices for sustainable and inclusive development.
