I am a motivated professional with extensive experience in the marine industry. I have a flawless safety record and strong leadership skills developed from my past work experience as a Master and now as Director of Marine Operations. As a person who thrives in high-pressure and fast-paced situations, I strive for positive results by applying my leadership, interpersonal and management abilities. Additionally, I possess expertise in planning, delegation, and time management. I have an aptitude for optimizing performance and motivating colleagues and staff. I can visualize success and identify innovative and effective strategies for achieving it. I can work effectively in self-managed and team-based projects while maintaining high ethical and quality standards. 

I bring versatile experience in ship repairing, problem-solving, PMS (planned maintenance system), and operational and breakdown maintenance. I have planned and executed many refits, refurbishments, dry dockings, and modifications of vessels in different capacities during my career. I have planned and assisted classification society surveyors, port and flag state in many ship surveys, close-up inspections, annual inspections and condition assessment surveys of the vessel machinery, hull and structure. I have worked closely with various classification societies and liaised with them for the implementation of classification rules. I have experience in vessel equipment inspection, including machinery, navigational equipment, lifesaving and firefighting appliances. I have vast experience in dry docking (refit) and conversions on various ships. I was also involved in the construction and procurement of Valemax (the largest bulk carrier in the world). 

I completed a certificate of competency Master Mariner (Unlimited) from Transport Canada, Master Mariner (Unlimited) from the United Kingdom and a higher national diploma in Nautical Sciences from the United Kingdom. I have attended various short courses/workshops on marine subjects like ISM, PMS, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ECDIS, Risk analysis, Accident Investigation, MSCAT, ISPS, BRM, Ship Handling, Ship Safety Officer, Ship security officer, Dangerous Goods (Level3), OSH, Train the Trainer, Leadership and Managerial Skills, Specialized Passenger Safety Management. I know international, federal and provincial regulations regarding the marine industry.
