I strive to enhance balance in my life and believe that you must “be the change you wish to see in the world”—M. Gandhi. As such, I embrace outdoor activity that connects me to the Earth. I am passionate about teaching and consider compassion to be the basis of my personal and professional values. Life-long learning through active engagement, reading and research are an important aspect of my personal and professional growth. During my own search for knowledge and understanding, I have sought information in such areas as literacy, education, collaborative work environments, empowerment, children, youth, and Indigenous teachings. My holistic vision for myself involves my connection to the land, my family, my community and my history.
