Brittany Crake

A recent Law Clerk graduate from Georgian College who graduated with honours. Showed high amounts of knowledge in classes covering legal research, Wills & Estates, Real Estate, and Business/Corporate Law. Have much experience in customer service which gives me strong social and problem-solving abilities. Able to get a large number of projects and tests done on time with high attention to every detail. My passions have always lived in the best interests of animals. My original hope getting into law was to work in an animal lawyers office, but I am definitely someone who prefers to work with animals hands on and face-to-face. 

I had worked in customer service for about a decade. During my time working for McDonalds, which was the majority of my time in the working field, the one thing that promised me a good day were the animal customers that came through. I worked at the first window, taking orders and money. Working at that window gave me the most opportunity to interact with the animals of the area. I knew all of them by name, knew their favorite snacks, and would even get holiday baggies ready for all of the regulars. Working in that window everyday, communicating with those animals, it gave my life a great purpose. Besides this, I have had many animals my whole life, 13 dogs to be exact as well as birds and fish. I have learned how to take care of many illnesses they may have, as well as small levels of grooming. I currently have a golden doodle (who is still mostly golden and sheds like crazy) and a border collie/golden/rottie mix, who sheds even more crazily. It has been essential for me to learn some grooming techniques with these 2.  Beyond the grooming, all of my experiences with animals, whether that of my own family pets, wild animals, or community members, they have all always given so much to my life, they've always helped to keep me centered and grounded, they've been my life purpose, and being able to give back to them in any way I can is what I will always feel most aligned with doing and will always look forward to doing. I have been practicing animal communication and healing for a number of years now, and I would love to get into a field that again introduces me to all the amazing animals in the community. 

I have gone to school for things surrounding environmental care, biology, arts, and law. I excelled in all areas. I may not have schooling directly tethered to the pet grooming position, but my schooling has proved that I am very capable of learning not only quickly, but with high degrees of understanding and interest.
