About Cassie Hovey:

Professionally, I'm a passionate and driven exercise physiologist with wide-ranging experience. Exemplary track record surrounding time-management, team communication and a drive to achieve client goals. With a professional mission to empower the community through education and movement for a healthier lifestyle and improved quality of life.

Personally, I moved to Toronto in February 2023 for a life experience on an open work visa. Prior to moving to Canada, I was working in Melbourne, Australia as an accredited exercise physiologist and have achieved all the goals in which I had set out, including opening and running a private exercise physiology clinic. I am looking for my next adventurer in Canada and learning curve through new clinical skills to make me the best clinician I can be.

Experience

In recent years of working in private clinics, I have strengthened my ability to build client rapport and learn how to integrate with a wide range of health professionals and strong personalities throughout client bases.

Accredited Exercise Physiologist & clinic owner – Hovey Exercise Physiology
I opened my own clinic during Melbournes COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020, I was unable to continue face-to-face work in the location I lived but was allowed to travel 15-minutes and work face-to-face with clients in the next town. So, I opened the business, and it thrived!

  • Full clinic operation – admin, booking appointments, reports, invoicing
  • With the location being rural, a wide range of clinical conditions were managed:

Most common clinical conditions: Mental health, hypertension, obesity, type II Diabetes Mellitus, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis; Autism; bronchiectasis; Rheumatoid arthritis; joint replacements; ACL/ meniscus tears; rotator cuff tears; NSLBP; herniated discs; sciatica

Less common conditions: Multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MADD) & GA2; Prader-Willi Syndrome; Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome; Psoriatic Arthritis; Rheumatic heart disease

  • Integration with local General Practitioners, osteopaths, and physiotherapists to optimize client outcomes.
