Experience

Oversees and performs daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions & finance operations of MTN
Dubai and Head Office related entities in Mauritius, Panama & BVI while collaborating with
colleagues to guarantee timely completion of reports & maintain integrity of financials. Trains,
motivates, and supervises accounting staff members.
 Manage month end closing activities which involve Oracle Fusion Cloud, Hyperion Financial
Management (HFM) system, Smartview & Oracle Financial Close & Consolidation (FCC) for
Group reporting.
 Regular review of trial balances before it gets loaded in Group consolidation system FCC.
 Management and supervision of subledger modules & general ledger.
 Investigate account discrepancies and reconcile to general ledger.
 Analyze intercompany balances with other affiliates and coordination of intercompany wire
settlements.
 Handles all intercompany review & analysis before Financial Analyst submits the transactions
in the Interco module. The process must be completely timely and at a high level of accuracy
before gets loaded in Account Reconciliation Cloud (ARCS) during month end. Manage
dispute from interco partners.

 Review of financial tax registers (FTR) & submission of quarterly VAT return across 5 legal
entities registered as VAT Group. Manage queries from Federal Tax Authority on VAT
refund claim.
 Perform periodic budgeting to project monthly cash requirements.
 Analysis of actual versus budget report periodically before trial balance is submitted for FCC
loading.
 Developed & implemented new ways of working such as utilization of different streams in
Fusion application & enhanced reports.
 Close coordination with Internal & External Auditors during reporting periods to guarantee
effectiveness of internal financial controls (IFC) and ensure compliance with all accounting
policies and procedure.
 Continuous monitoring, proposal & implementation of solution to address Segregation of
Duties (SOD) violations as per GT (Group Template) design.
