Christopher Pelletier

For more than 25 years, I have worked in journalism and communications, telling stories that engage with audiences in print, video and web. My work experience has focussed on the development and production of engaging content and fostering relationships with stakeholders. I am bilingual and have extensive experience in writing and editing for a variety of audiences, combined with strong verbal communication skills. I am proficient in the use of technology and its application to communications and marketing including image capture and manipulation, graphic design and desktop publishing, website development, administration and maintenance, and social media tools. I have also created communication strategies to effectively profile institutions to the general public and primary users to increase brand recognition and awareness. This was achieved through the use of email newsletters, print magazines, websites, and social media engagement. 

Born and raised in Cobourg, I discovered my love of communications while working at the student newspaper in high school. This love continued as I ran the student newspaper at Nipissing University before entering the Broadcast Journalism program at Canadore College. These early experiences provided me with the foundation of my twenty-five plus year career in journalism, communications, and marketing. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in communications in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors ranging from labour, environment, agriculture, and Indigenous organizations at the national, provincial, and local levels. 

I have recently completed my Bachelor of Arts (Integrated Studies) at the University of Manitoba.
