Daniela Giraldo Jaramillo

Master’s degree in environmental engineering graduated with a focus on biodiversity and environmental studies, interested in conservation issues, environmental education, research in plants and ecology. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, graduated in Bogotá, Colombia, and now working in Toronto, Canada, I’m organized, passionate and meticulous.

As a research assistant at University of the Andes, Bogotá, Colombia, I supported academic field trips to paramo-glacier ecosystems, taking plants information and collecting them; supported the laboratory data processing for different projects; supported the plants management at the ANDES herbarium. Also, assisted the teacher in charge of the Introduction to Environmental Problems course as a teaching assistatn at university.

Master’s degree in environmental engineering graduated with a focus on biodiversity and environmental studies. Master’s thesis is about the functional diversity of invasive plants in tropical mountain ecosystems.
