Next distribution centers – Network Engineer – March 2021 – Present

In my current role at Next, I have focused predominantly on supporting the cisco infrastructure across our distribution centres in and around South Elmsall. On a day to day basis this includes running multiple projects (such as upgrading legacy switches to the newer cisco 9200’s across the estate, and our gradual transition from on site hardware to Azure), troubleshooting issues at both layer 2 and layer 3 and raising and implementing changes for BAU and updating documentation accordingly. Additionally, I have delved more into security, troubleshooting firewall issues on our Palo Altos, and again, raising and implementing firewall changes where necessary. Main technologies used:
