I am a nanny, with many years of experience. I went to Seneca college to study my ECE. I ran an in-home daycare, when my children were young. I worked in the corporate world for a time, but when I retired from that career I returned to my passion of caring for children. I worked recently as a nanny for a professional couple in Dieppe, but their circumstances changed and I am now available again. I have a great relationship with my recent family and can provide wonderful references. I charge $20 per hour, but am willing to negotiate depending on the hours per week. Depending on the travel distance, I would also like to negotiate gas allowance.

Experience

I began as a nanny at 19 years old and worked for a family for 3 years. I left to begin another career, in an office setting. Once I had children of my own, I stayed home to raise them, but ran my own daycare as a way to be both a mother and a working woman. Once my children were older, I worked in an office as an analyst for 23 years. While there, I volunteered with the United Way, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, I ran the fund raising events for The Food Bank and the Christmas Wish Fund. Participated in the Junior Achievement Program. I was a Member of the Emergency Response Team, attended CPR & First aid for 10 consecutive years – last certified in 2020. I was a Member of the JHSC and have obtained certificate for completion of the JHSC, from the workplace Safety & Prevention Services (2016). I also was a Member of the Health and Wellness and Mental Health committees.

Education

I pride myself in being punctual, caring and being a very empathetic and nurturing person. I feel that the years of caring for children (my own and others) and being on a caring team (in my professional career), gives me vast experience dealing with all ages.
