Devyn Hurry

I am a soon-to-be graduate with a diverse professional background in Venture Capital and through a billion dollar fintech startup company. I am highly motivated to transition into the field of Private Equity where I can utilize my skills in financial analysis and strategic thinking to assist the portfolio in achieving outsized returns. I am a quick learner and a team player, with a strong work ethic and a passion for the industry. I am excited to bring my unique perspective and experiences to a new role in Private Equity as I transition slowly into my long term career goal of performing LBO analysis and transactions. 

I was extremely active on campus where I gained leadership and sales experience. I leveraged this to get a role with an extremely fast growing fintech company. During my tenure there the company achieved a $1 billion valuation, my drive allowed rapid transition of departments as I consistently sought out responsibility. This resulted in me running the compliance department as an intern. I left the startup to join a Venture fund, where I had training from a top-decile performing team (72% IRR). I realized the importance of IB, from this experience and invested in learning more about company valuations and equity analysis. This led me to fall in love with the art of performing an LBO, and I have my heart set on diving into that industry. 

Double major in Finance and International Management from the University of Lethbridge.
