About Dr. Helga Miehle, PAg:
I am an experienced agricultural and horticultural research professional with a strong background in both applied science and commercial innovation. My expertise spans laboratory, greenhouse, and field-scale research environments, where I have led numerous small plot, strip trial, and demo plot studies across Canada. This includes extensive work with (foliar) fertilizers, biostimulants, and agricultural chemicals, supported by rigorous statistical analysis.
With a solid foundation in plant breeding (both conventional and molecular), plant cell and tissue culture, microbiology, and plant pathology, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to solving complex agricultural challenges.
In addition to my scientific expertise, I have a proven track record in innovation management, product development, and marketing strategy. I’ve successfully bridged the gap between research and commercialization, contributing to crop improvement and the successful launch of new agricultural products. My work is supported by strong collaborative relationships across government, industry, and academia. Whether advancing technical projects or driving business outcomes, I bring strategic insight and a passion for impactful agricultural innovation.
