About Elisabeth Hurtubise:
My areas of interest are trauma intervention, human rights protection and the well-being and safety of all people, especially those from minority, refugee and immigrant groups. My career in the humanitarian field started as a front-line social worker in the displaced communities of Canada's Inuit population and as part of multidisciplinary teams focused on marginalized populations in urban and hospital settings. I spent the last year in Arizona completing my thesis on the reception policies and protocols for unaccompanied minors at the U.S.-Mexico border.
