Experience
I am a Licensed Paralegal, Notary Public, and Commissioner of Oaths with over eight years of experience in a law firm environment, specializing in litigation, construction liens, and administrative legal support. During my time at Rousseau Mazzuca LLP, I advanced from Law Clerk to Office Manager and Paralegal, and most recently to Paralegal and Construction Lien Specialist, where I managed over 500 active files.
I have extensive experience drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits, and legal correspondence, as well as managing trial preparation, discovery reviews, undertakings, and e-filings. I’m well-versed in CaseLines, One-Key, and Justice Services Online, and maintain strong compliance with the Rules of Civil Procedure and other procedural frameworks.
I take pride in my attention to detail, organization, and leadership—qualities that have allowed me to train junior clerks, develop firm-wide templates and checklists, and implement workflow improvements that reduced costs and enhanced productivity. I’m also technically proficient in Microsoft 365, ACL, PC Law, and iManage, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms as needed.
Education
I hold a Paralegal Graduate Certificate from Centennial College, where I developed strong foundations in Real Estate Law, Tort and Contract Law, Legal Research and Writing, Business Law, Statutory Accident Benefits, Small Claims Court, and Administrative and Employment Law. My coursework included legal memoranda drafting, demand letters, and case analysis, all of which strengthened my ability to interpret legislation and apply procedural rules effectively.
This formal training, combined with my licensing as a Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario, has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of Ontario’s legal framework and practical skills essential for litigation, advocacy, and client service. I combine analytical skill with empathy and professionalism in client interactions. I’m passionate about continuous learning, process improvement, and bringing both structure and initiative to every team I join.
