I am a dedicated and driven individual with a strong background in power engineering and building operations. With a 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate and a over a decade of oilfield related experience, I have the technical knowledge and expertise to excel in these fields.

Having worked in roles such as Utilities Process Operator, Building Operations Supervisor, and Building Operator, I have gained valuable experience in steam generation, chemical monitoring, process water management, and troubleshooting equipment abnormalities. I am skilled in operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

I found joy and satisfaction in actively contributing to distinctive side projects. Engaging in these unique projects has not only brought me a sense of pride, but has also afforded me the invaluable opportunity to broaden my understanding of different systems and processes.

As a Building Operations Supervisor, I successfully managed a team of skilled building operators and countless assets by prioritizing assignments, collaborating to share skillsets, and having a solution seeking mentality. I believe in leading by example, holding myself and others accountable, and using a questioning attitude to improve processes and outcomes.

Communication is key, both in team settings and with clients and management. I am responsive to coaching and guidance, always seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth. Outside of work, I am passionate about making a positive impact in my community. Fort McKay Alcor (Suncor, Fort Hills)

Utilities Process Operator - Contract | 11/21’ – 02/23’

⋅ Responsible for steam, boiler feedwater, process water, condensate, and NG systems

⋅ Operate four watertube boilers, each producing 44,000KPa Steam at 400°C, with a MCR of 133t/h

⋅ Monitor water and steam chemistry – adjust chemicals as required

⋅ Collaborate with the team to accomplish goals, solve issues, and increases efficiencies

⋅ Create isolations for upcoming maintenance activities, proficient in Permit Vision

⋅ Troubleshoot and correct process abnormalities and upsets, create trends; use of PI Process Book

⋅ Follow procedures, rotate equipment as required and monitor levels, pressures, and temperatures

⋅ Participate in operational driven reliability, complete preventative and corrective maintenance

⋅ Provide detailed reports on operations and existing conditions; produce effective cross-shift notes

⋅ Monitor and interpret DCS to ensure there are no abnormalities, and aid in diagnosis of process

upsets, understanding of cause & effect diagrams, as they relate to plant processes

Building Operations Supervisor & Permit Office Coordinator | 10/19’ – 11/21’

⋅ Accountable for a large team of building operators and numerous assets, including fuelling depots,

site emergency gens, telecom towers, fire hall, lab, warehouse, chemical storage, E-houses, etc.

⋅ Lead by example - build positive relationships and collaborate with staff, client, and management

⋅ Interview and hire for various positions; coach, develop, train and mentor team members

⋅ Prioritize assignments set out by Client/Ownership, and delegate tasks to the team

⋅ Monitor radio channel to work as dispatch, prioritize call-ins and delegate to crew accordingly

⋅ Conduct daily toolbox meetings; ensure the safety of the work environment for all employees

⋅ Remove roadblocks for team members, and support their growth as operators

⋅ Assign area allocations based on experience and strengths, encourage teamwork

⋅ Address training, scheduling, and PPE requirements; source equipment and materials

⋅ Created and maintained an inventory for tools, equipment, and parts

⋅ Troubleshoot equipment failures/deficiencies and ensure PM’s are in place

⋅ Audit isolations, FLHA’s, round sheets, daily logs, lockboxes, car-seal logs, and permits

⋅ Communicate effectively, be accountable, and responsive to coaching and guidance for growth

⋅ Create and review JHA’s with crew members, and ensure all safety materials are accessible

⋅ Advanced computer literacy; adept at word; excel; power point; SAP

⋅ Ensure TDG and WHMIS are understood and abided by all workers

⋅ Emergency response planning, and conduct incident investigations as required

⋅ Monitor SAP for new work requests and upcoming scopes of work

⋅ Create procedures, confined space packages, and isolations for upcoming work scopes

⋅ Buildings Operation System - monitor and control the mechanical, electrical, and communication

systems to provide a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for the occupants and optimize

⋅ Run NPA Permit Office, and cover as NPA Operations/Utilities Coordinator as required

Building Operator | 11/17’ – 10/19’

⋅ Working understanding of heating, refrigerant, ventilation, compression, and power

generation/distribution systems

⋅ Permit office coverage, permit issuer and area authority, conduct regular site walk-downs

⋅ Complete daily rounds and regular use of zoom-boom for various tasks

⋅ CSU Experience – steam, gas, compressed air, and chemical systems, etc.

⋅ Ensure ABSA requirements are met for our applicable boiler systems

⋅ Create SOP’s and provide input for improvement of operational policies and procedures

⋅ Perform minor maintenance and repairs; monitor and interpret BAS (Honeywell and Distech)

⋅ Search for various drawings using Enterprise Bridge and ECMS and redline as required

⋅ Experience with LPONG systems; performed nitrogen purges; and organized Carseal program

ConocoPhillips (Surmont 2) | 11/15’ – 10/16’

Utilities Process Operator - Student

⋅ Participated in the commissioning of Steam Gen Train 3

⋅ In care of several OTSG’s (output ~249 m3/h at 85% steam quality)

⋅ Walked through and signed off permits for site; communicated daily events at cross-shift

⋅ Hazardous energy isolations/de-isolations; Deficiency notifications, use of SAP

⋅ Process Safety Management, including training; operating procedures; hot work; emergency

planning and response; process hazard analysis and safety information

ConocoPhillips (Pilot Plant) | 11/14’ – 10/15’

Process Operator - Student

⋅ Experience in heavy oil, water treatment and steam generation

⋅ SAGD operator; assigned the task of monitoring: two well pairs, treaters, produced gas recovery

system, a water treatment unit, a glycol circulation system, and a tank farm

⋅ In control and care of an OTSG (output ~20 m3/h at 80% steam quality)

⋅ Prepared equipment for maintenance and took oil cuts from treaters

⋅ Participated in plant shutdowns, performed isolations, purged systems, verified lockouts

⋅ DCS experience: rotating equipment, adjusting VFD’s, responding to upsets in process
