I have over 15 years of experience working in accounting, mainly focused on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general bookkeeping. Throughout my career, I have handled high-volume AP, processed invoices in both Canadian and U.S. currencies, prepared CRA remittances, and completed many types of reconciliations, including bank and credit card accounts.

I have supported month-end tasks such as accruals and journal entries, maintained vendor files, and helped prepare documents for audits. I am comfortable working independently, staying organized, and managing deadlines in fast-paced environments.

My experience comes from a variety of workplaces, including government departments, small businesses, and private companies. I am familiar with several accounting systems, including QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and FreeBalance. I have a strong background in accounting, starting with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Istanbul Technical University. I also earned a Business Accounting Diploma from Algonquin College and have completed some CGA courses/certificates at the University of Ottawa. This combination of international and Canadian accounting education has given me a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and CRA regulations.
