I have been fortunate to be in the manufacturing field as a quality assurance coordinator and then a quality supervisor. As a QC I was performing first offs for each job we ran on the floor, checks every single hour and a last off at the end. Used gauges/fixtures to test parts, used torque wrench to measure the torque on the parts and making sure they were at torque according to work instructions/prints. Made and presented quality alerts to operators every time a quality issue came up either from in house or from the the customer. Filled out daily quality reports for every job, and presenting data on a spreadsheet on how many parts were passed/rejected. Inspect parts according to quality standards and either deemed the parts good for production or rejected them to send back to the supplier, or if assembled, to get scrapped out. As a quality supervisor my job was to coach, train, and supervise my team of QCs. Ensure they were doing their tasks, help them out with any questions they had. Approved vacation/ELOA. Took cate of their timesheets on a daily basis. Typed out and present Annual Performance Reviews toy team. Took part in any disciplinary actions. Filed all Job sheets, GP12 sheets and SPC data sheets on a daily basis. Communicated with management via email on a daily basis. Daily use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Outlook. I worked as a QC for about a year and worked as a Quality Supervisor for over 4 years.
