Frantz Barichard

My name is Frantz Barichard, I am a 3D modeler and junior character artist. I make organic creatures and hard-surface models for Unreal, other game engines and render engines . I have expertise in 3D modelling, drawing, sculpting (traditionnal), painting and animation.The softwares I commonly use are Maya, Zbrush, photoshop, substance painter,blender, storyboard pro and UE5:
I started sculpting and drawing since I was little, hugely inspired by french and europeen science fiction artists like moebius, juan gimenez, giger,chriss foss and many others. I was also extremely triggered by japanese artists such as hajime sorayama, hayao miyazaki, peter chung and may others. My favorite movies and the one that made me want to crete my own are the animatrix and its amazing styles, blade runner and its amazing lights and atmosphere and space adventure cobra, an animated space opera tv series in the 80s that keeps inspiring me.
My favorite video games and the one that made me want to pursuit my dremas in the video game and film industry are halo 2 and 3, assassin's creed and alien isolation. I love the great cinematic lighting and visuals of alien iosolation, the creative color palette design in halo 3, and the extraordinary world bulding design in assassin's creed.
I was always very creative and I worked a lot, there is nothing more important than art for me. I always invest myself a 100% and I love to learn knew things to become a better and more refined artist.

As a freelancer, I am still working on a personal project called stranz which is a science fiction cyberpunk dystopic short animation real that started for my 3d animation school last year project at superior private school Rubika supinfocom in Montreal. I was responsible for the storyboard, the cinematic art, the character design,the 3d modelling, the script and the artistic direction.
Please consider my experience and qualification for this position:
⦁ A good understanding of character design, perspective, lighting and colour theory
⦁ Able to communicate well and work under supervision
⦁ Excellent work ethic and eager to learn
⦁ Familiarity with games like hellblade, halo series, batman, assassin's creed, cyberpunk 2077
⦁ Proeficient in photoshop, clip studio paint , storyboard pro or telated 2d softwares
⦁ Expert in Photoshop and Zbrush
⦁ Currently enrolled in 3d animation program for my last few months remaining at Rubika 3d animation school in Montreal
⦁ Character design, vehicle design, environments, sketches(working drawings), storyboard work, graphic design
 

In my previous position, I was responsible for modelling 3d objects and support in the development of high resolution 3d character models. I also helped for the creation of the textures in substance painter for multiple pieces.
