About Fred Thorsen:
Hello! I am feature film and television editor who has worked in Vancouver's post production industry since the 1990's. With years of experience shaping stories in the edit suite, I bring a keen eye for detail, a fast and efficient workflow, and a deep understanding of the dynamics behind the scenes.
Whether it's a corporate video, documentary, television or a feature film, I specialize in finding the moments others might miss, crafting compelling narratives, and navigating the creative and political challenges of post-production with ease. Whether it’s fine-tuning performances, troubleshooting tough notes, or keeping the process moving smoothly, I thrive on bringing out the best in every project.
I am also an experienced instructor able to engage and educate new editors on the basics of editing in a way that is clear, simple, and inspiring.
